by Levi Ortiz

Is it your turn to plan a social for your women's club? Perhaps you are in a church organization or you are part of a reading group. No matter which group will be part of the event, from making the plan to securing pizza bags, here are some ideas that may inspire you to create something unique and memorable.

Make A Plan - As you are pondering what you will do for your women's club event, put everything in writing. When you do that you will be able to better select exactly what you want to happen at your event.

  • Write down different themes that you think would be fun. Do you want a historical theme? Think of what your friends have in common. For example, if many of your friends enjoy traveling, you could focus exotic places of the world.
  • Write down places where you could hold the event. For instance, if your book club is meeting, consider holding the event on your patio or in your back yard, if the weather permits.
  • Write down the names of everybody who should be invited. As you send invitations out, be sure to check your list to make sure that nobody has been left out. If guests are welcome, put that on your invitation.
  • Write down names of those who might like to help you. For example, if you have a friend who does calligraphy, she might enjoy helping with the invitations.

The Event - Now that you have written all your ideas on paper, make them come true.

  • Decorate the area in which you will meet. For example, if you have chosen a travel theme, secure posters of famous cities of the world to display on easels.
  • Arrange for the right seating. For instance, if your event is for your book club, make sure that each person doesn't just have a comfortable place to sit, but that she will have good lighting.
  • Obviously, food is an important part of most social events. Think about selecting a menu that won't distract you from the fun of your event. For example, if you are making pizzas for your friends, prepare them ahead of time and keep them warm in pizza bags. (Contact companies like A + Bags LLC for mote information.)
  • Even if your event is outside, pizza would be a good choice. After all, who doesn't love pizza? You can buy pizza bags that can be used over and over again, and they are quite affordable.

Don't forget to take pictures at your event. It will be fun to show them off at your next meeting.
